New Year's Eve in South Africa and forward

At the very windy (gale force winds) New Year's Day outreach at the Pavilion.
Josh is in the foreground, and I am talking to a lady about the booklet I gave her.
At one point I was handing a tract to someone, and the wind whipped it out of my hand
up into a 6- or 8 foot spiral.

James, and Michelle Frew with Josh, all handing out tracts.
We later discussed the definitions of drunk as we saw it. For Timmy, it was someone three sheets to the wind trying unsuccessfully to high five him. For Paul, it was a young man trying to interrupt his chalk talk with questions, and finally having to hang on to Paul just to remain upright. For me, it was a teenager making kissy faces at Evangel as she walked by, and then when she ignored him,
he tried with me. Definitely inebriated.

Paul in the middle of an exciting Bible story.
Vicki standing by with chocolate rewards. Adults were allowed to answer for goodies, too, and did.
I must say, there was a rather sandy atmosphere at that spot.

Simon's Town shopping expedition, a maritime store/museum balcony overlooking False Bay.

The white flamingos walking on water, Zandvlei.
Now if they take flight, you see pink on their underwing feathers.

The Emancipation Proclamation for Berwick. Now she can run FREE in the park!
She must have been on praying ground.
Berwick exercising her new rights as an inhabitant of Zandvlei Park.
In other words, watch the flags, and hop out of the water when one warns of sharks in the area.

The secularization of South Africa....
Connie, manfully working ice cream over. The pic was taken by holding my camera over my head from the front, without looking. Isn't she a cutie pie?

Two guys on  the Kalk Bay/St. James walk by the sea, reading Chick tracts we gave them.
Beginning a group walk from the Collins' neighborhood. After night fell, we admired the colorful Christmas lights in houses, which is the purpose of the traditional walk.
